It's quite an untouched location, along with its location being in the center of the worlds financial district, a Very nice bandwidth blend, low latency. Its a good choice I'd say.

Very rare in the low end market. Only other provider I know of that was offering NYC at low-end prices was EOReality They Who Shall Not Be Named Because of Some Mythical Legal Action, also offering services out of Ubiquity.

  • @Serverian,

There sure is! I'm sure they run a great operation, however I have no interest in competing with 3GB RAM offers, they're ridiculous - and no offence to Patrick on that one. Iniz is great I have a VPS with them myself, not in NYC though as there isn't much need :P

I'll stick to my plans, they're working nicely at the moment.

    Thank you.

3GB is not ridiculous at all, I know a few (not you of course) who are upset but everything is possible with colo'ing own high end hardware. Deep pockets / money to invest will help a long way in making such feasible.

All the best Reece, happy to have you as a client and good to see you up finally with your venture :)

@Iniz = Patrick for that pricing I'm quite fine :) Thanks though.

As for finally up -> HostBill is a pain in the rear end! - Last minute move to WHMCS sadly, we got something nice coming though :)

@Jack - I have no care about VD either.

  • I subscribed to the 128MB offer. A couple of glitches due to the billing system but @Reece answered my ticket with a couple of minutes, solved everything and doubled the RAM to 256MB. Although it is advertised as a 100 Mbps interface, it is actually 1 Gbps. Here is a speedtest to several North American locations:

    Download speed from CacheFly: 22.4MB/s

Download speed from Colo@, Atlanta GA, US: 60.0MB/s
Download speed from EvoSwitch, Manassas VA, US: 15.4MB/s
Download speed from FDCServers, Chicago IL, US: 11.4MB/s
Download speed from FDCServers, Denver CO, US: 11.3MB/s
