As you can see it's missing text, but why? I'm wondering if this is specific to ramnode NL NLCVZE5-1 just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem.

It's and issue with openvz, look for the openvz patched version
Dunno about openvz but I fixed it by ticking "attempt to use logical palettes" and "indicate bold text by changing the color"in putty
You know there is a setup option for htop. Press F2.
