UK shared hosting with site builder

Howdy,

Asking for a friend, I need some basic shared hosting in the UK that comes with one of those shitty site-builder things so he can make himself a one pager with very little aggro.

In normally recommend TSOHost for this sort of thing, but they no longer offer the site builder, which is a deal-breaker, Wordpress is too complex.

  • What site builder would he need?

Just something that would let him pick a template, piss around with some kind of WYSIWYG editor. No technical skill/knowledge/understanding at all.

  • eleven2.com provides RV Site Builder within their cPanel.

Maybe the inbuilt cPanel sitebuilder would be fine for him ?

  • Squarespace is the easiest by far.

    Would site.pro do? It's installed on our UK shared hosting @ https://ho-ost.com/cart.php?gid=12 - $10/Year.

  • 1PWH.uk do offers basic shared in UK with RVSitebuilder support, I has never used this builder to be fair.

I’m not sure what that is, I’m looking for something with drag and drop style functionality, filling in a few fields, that kind of thing.

When you say ‘would it do’ - is it what I asked for? I’ve never heard of site.pro, I haven’t used shared hosting in years.

    Far too poncey for him

We have a site-builder that is very much drag/drop and click buttons with a few hundred templates included.

It's included as standard with all of our packages - https://www.netcetera.co.uk/hosting/

Any questions, just let me know :)

  • I personally have a good experience with RvSiteBuilder and Squarespace if no technical skills. :)

  • Site.pro is very easy to use I used it before and I liked it
Your friend will find a demo on their site

  • try you can try the service from hostmeright. so far so good when i try

That’s possibly a bit too complicated, hundreds of templates = too much choice.

No technical skill and you’re managing servers 24x7?

The only real option with shared hosting is going to be RVSitebuilder. Or get shared hosting and then use something like https://bootstrapstudio.io/

Outside of that wordpress.com or Wix.

Our builder is based around site.pro as recommended by others, but you're being hosted by us :)

Are you talking about that new cPanel HTML editor?

I wish external site builder programs like FrontPage, EZGenerator, etc were still supported.

Pretty much Adobe DreamWeaver is what you have now, but these are nice as you get the freedom to design one website and use it on any host you choose while still being able to easily make changes

  • One pound Web hosting do what you need and are very good.
