We use Juniper EX4200-48T (48x1G + 2x10G sfp+ or 4x1G sfp) 2xAC
UBNT Edgeswitch is solid, kinda enterprise class at the consumer level
Juniper, Brocade, Arista
Huawei switches seem pretty decent, or at least my experience with them was quite positive. Not had any issues with HP either.
It’s far from Enterprise class on any levels
EOL. EX4300 should be used unless you have a stockpile of EX4200 already.
I have good experience with the switch on my desktop lamp. I never took it apart though and hence can't tell you the make of the switch.
Side note: You might want to ask more specifically to get more useful answers. The way you asked makes this look like yet another idiots thread ("Which is your favourite xyz?"),
juniper
Or the EX3300-48T / EX3400-48T
It’s enterprise, but not hosting ready at all. Depend on the kind of use you want to do. Got plenty of enterprise running on those without issue. However for DC/Hosting it’s totally crap.
I agree. OP didn't mention what scenario is so I've just recommended a cost effective one. I have Edgeswitch at home and working perfectly, but it'll suffer in a heavy use environment.
Mikrotik Cloud-Core ?
EX3300-48T is good, but only one PS ((
EX3400-48T is more expensive
Used Quanta, new Huawei and ZTE. If you don't like CN hardware.... you will pay.
These are not SOHO but entirely enterprise, including BGP.
48x1G + 2x10G Quanta LB4 start at 70$ used.
Bay Networks
Bay Networks? I have a Bay Networks switch in my shed.
That's a pretty messy shed.
Yeah. It's because there's a stonking great switch in there that needs a crane to move.
That photo was taken some time ago, it's not like that now. (It's worse)
That USB cable there was for Atlas Probe :P?
It was. Well spotted.
