Haha much love! It's OK to get your dick wet.
Art? Is that what you call it? Fuckin Millenials.
Couldn't agree with you more!
Quite nice pictures, more of them pls :-P
Thanks! If anyone here is in the Los Angeles area, we would be more than happy to show you around both of our Downtown and Century facilities!
Here's some more photos of Century:
While our corporate office remains at our Downtown location, here's my office / workstation set up for when I'm working at our Century location
Did you know that QuadraNet has over 8 network carriers within our network blend, optimized by Noction in real time?

Im wet
There's probably a towel there somewhere with the token Windows 10 screenshots, unfilled coffee cup, aloe plants, and sterile
menworkspaces.lol, the coffee cup was actually filled (and was quite delicious)
Any on-site carriers at the Century DC, or just dark fiber back to the One Wilshire DTLA annex ? If just dark fiber... hoping multiple runs on opposite sides of the street.
Looks like an amazing space, just reminded me of when JoesDC/NOCIX/Datashack got another location close by, but only used dark fiber to connect to their existing DC.
They had both fiber runs on the same side of the street. Due to road work or some maintenance both fiber pairs to their other DC were taken out for hours.
Any BW carriers on-site at the new building for redundancy in case of the unexpected?
Glad to see you guys expanding to a better facility! OW Annex had a great penthouse, other floors were kinda hit-or-miss.
New space looks amazing, not a bad office either!
I was expecting for the actual stuff
Imagine a technician + the reception lady in a dark room 50m underground with tons of RJ45 cables.. Now that is some kinky stuff.
So are they going to end up moving my servers from their downtown location eventually? I dread these late night moves involving downtime that providers spring on me. You just never know what is going to happen, how long it is going to take, will they connect your server up wrong or drop it while half asleep or over-caffeinated? It's always stressful.
Kris my man, how have you been?
Thank you for the kind words, we greatly appreciate it! Many months of hard work, blood, and sweat were put behind the scenes for this new facility, and we're glad you like the final result.
We have on-net carriers at our Los Angeles Century DC as well, at the moment, this includes: QuadraNet, Cogent, Level3, Time Warner, Zayo.
We are also now SOC 2 certified, this was also quite a lengthy process which we are proud to see come to completion.
There is no way this can happen, we expanded because we are out of room in Downtown LA. Century would not have enough capacity to support the vast amount of infrastructure and capacity existing in our Downtown datacenter, which we've been operating in since 2001.
Los Angeles Century is a new facility for expansion purposes only to accomodate our growth. LA is one of our fastest growing locations, and not to be arrogant, but we dominate the LA market. We're simply the #RealDeal.
QuadraNet_Adam, you have nice Datacenter, what about tariffs for collocation and network ?
We need only LOW price )))))
Combined with our personalized attention to detail with every customer, in addition with our 16+ years in business and our size, we're in a position with access to a myriad of resources available to make deals happen.
Let's discuss, my Skype is QuadraNet.Adam or my e-mail is [email protected]
I'm good! Back on the east coast working for an MSP at a more relaxed pace.
Not one of four guys running 15+ locations! BTW, I'm not buffalloed! (I know you don't believe me, haha.)
Anyway, really glad you guys thought things out and have carriers on site in addition to the mix from your DTLA / OW Annex location. Won't be able to beat the paths and peering from there, but it's always good to have backups.
With Cogent, LVLT, TWTC and even Zayo... you guys are beyond covered. Probably won't need it most of the time as you'll have the best paths from your OW uplink. Also good to know you won't be single homed if things go askew, or worse dark like other places who opened a 2nd location.
Congrats on the expansion and respect to QN on putting $$$ into infra and not just tidying up the interior in a building from the 70s like others would. I saw the mural and got worried, haha!
Good to know there's infrastructure and BW carriers actually on-site.
SOC II certification is a PITA, helped a client achieve it... not easy!
Well done @QuadraNet_Adam and team.
Hope all is well out there, I sure as hell miss the weather!

Ah, I didn't realize you moved back! Glad to hear that you're in a much more relaxed place now - sounds like you're doing very well for yourself If the company you're with now needs any IaaS or datacenter space, please keep me in mind.
Yes, I think we're a little too spoiled with the weather out here in California - there's nothing like it! Would love to catch up, and show you around the new facility and grab some lunch whenever you're out here again.
Welldone.
Nice office too.
Thank you!
omg, stunning, All the more reason to visit the lovely city of LA haha
We would love to show you around when you do come out and visit the city of angels!
View from our Los Angeles Century offices Resides outside of the flight-pathway, yet extremely close and within walking distance to the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
Anyone who flew to/from LAX before, this should ring a bell.
I am doing datacenter tours all day long, PM me if you are in the area and would like to join!
Any reason @QuadraNet_Adam that your test files for Century and Downtown are exactly the same?

afaik they're the same networks no?
Well sure, it's not a big distance between the two as far as miles go but I would imagine they are different setups with different loads. Seems like perhaps a mistake to not have different test files between the two.
DICKS
Do you have any activity on the server?
Often the guys building the speed test servers aren't the web-devs. I'm sure the web-devs used the current one in-place until an official repo / speed test location is setup at their new DC.
Yeah maybe 1ms off or so, but likely nothing you'll notice. I'm guessing a good majority amount of routes are provided by their downtown LA location (Quadranet itself) with other transit for backup links.
Downtown LA and One Wilshire has some of the best connectivity in America so it makes sense to use it for the majority unless local links are needed, that's when BGP steps in if the connection to DTLA is severed.
Fair enough, but it still says one is testing Century location and one is Downtown. I like Quadranet, I don't think anything fishy is going on, I just want to be able to test both datacenters independently. Also a test file is used to test speeds and not just ping or network hops.
Congratulations for opening the new DC !
You may pick me up at DUS or CGN airport?
