Hetzner dont do single server colo'ing?
Only 14HE, 42HE and 47HE. @overclock
Unfortunately not.
Take a quarter, offer colo, profit.
;-)
I got a pair of B cups...
Nobody has this?
do not recommend if hardware is expensive . not want to hear another server stealing story later :P
Yeah... it's quite expensive. Struggling to find decently priced colocation within the EU (excluding UK). Find a good provider, then you see DDoS Protection costs 1000 euros for 5Gbps lol.
Because Hetzner is not good for colo - The racks are fairly cheap but Eastern Europe is cheaper, and the power is damn expensive even for Germany.
Compare:
Hetzner (DE) 42U + 100Mbit (33TB) + 1000W = ~165 + ~23 + ~165 = 353EUR
Additional KWH = ~23c wo VAT
220W/1A = ~36EUR
Coolhousing (CZ) 42U with same = 343EUR
Additional KWH = ~19c wo VAT
220W/1A = ~30EUR
Rackforest (HU) 42U with same = 410EUR
Additional KWH = ~17c wo VAT
220W/1A = ~27EUR
As you see Hetzner makes not much sense unless you have low power hardware that takes a lot of space, and keeping in mind Hetzner is very remote to large DC cities Czech Republic or Poland are likely not much different in distance either.
free ddos protection is the key here
Fairly useless considering you cannot cheaply (or easily) get your own IPs routed even on colo, so you need to rely on Hetzner IPs.
Do you recommend any specific providers? I am looking for 60-70Mbps 95th percentile (1Gbps @ 20-25TB or so), 1A, 1U and free IP announcement. Looking for Central Europe however East is also fine.
EDIT: Oh yah, and DDoS Protection of 10G+.
http://master.cz Prague/Brno - CZ (~40EUR)
https://www.coolhousing.net Prague - CZ (~50EUR)
http://atw.hu Budapest - HU (~55EUR)
Someone knows where I can host some NAS? I have already 2 in a German DC. But maybe there a some better offers out there.
coolhousing does colo pretty much any formfactor for fairly cheap (like this or this), power not THAT cheap but still less than DE, and overall cheaper.
