  • For most applications, we do need some sort of IPv4 access, making it IPv6 only sorta makes the VPS useless, only purpose I can think about right now is running a web server over Cloudflare to be able to serve content over IPv4 in some way.

Currently I can only offer IPv6 in Germany. Sorry =(
I can offer Dedicated IPv4 though.

    Aww....

    Than you should change this:

    Since it's not a IPv4 service anymore.

I'm gonna leave it there in case someone without IPv6 support would like to check server ping but I will be sure to add an IPv6 address.

  • @Cam An IPv4 test would be useless for latency tests as IPv6 runs seperately. Your mileage will vary (different latency for V4/6 tests).

  • So the nat in DE is not available to old customers as well?

Existing NAT servers are not affected.

  • @Cam How long does it take to activate after order?

Both of these services are automatically provisioned, That is if everything works properly =D.

  • Do these servers come with TUN/TAP and can I install OpenVPN on them?

Yes and Yes. TUN/TAP can be enabled in SolusVM.

  • This is a dumb question but is bandwidth monthly or yearly

  • Just a note- for those of us used to NAT with benefits- this is just NAT. You get your SSH port and your 20 assigned ports. No IPv6 goodness. So, unless you have projects you can tie to your assigned ports and run with, you won't do any good.

It works fine for my purposes, and you can't beat the price!

  • So is bandwidth yearly limit? @Cam

Both of these come with /80 IPv6. All existing servers also have IPv6 as well.

do you think ipv10 will be successful?

    https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-omar-ipv10-06.html

Cool article I haven't done much research on IPv10 or know how it will function but if what the article is saying is true I think it could be a success.

  • Is it possible to run openvpn with ipv6 only?

When I was messing with mine last week, I only saw IPv4, and nothing under SolusVM for the IPv6 network. It's there today. Weird.

I screwed up and put my name of YOUR NAT host onto a WISHosting NAT. That's what's wrong. Sorry about that!

I know that you can set up a website on a VPS like that. What I meant is that that's the only viable option to use the VPS since most of the internet is IPv4.
