There's precisely one of these at this price. Enterprise HDs. If I didn't have a handful of KS-3Cs, I know I'd jump on this (Server SB38).
E: There's also a E3-1271V3 w/ Enterprise HDs, ECC RAM, and an Intel NIC for #38. I think I'd go for that, instead (SB46)

It doesn't "end in 9 hours", it gets cheaper in 9 hours. Thats how hetzner's auction site works, if it isnt taken by a certain point in time, they reduce the price.
My i7-3770-24EUR still works well, can't find anything cheaper
I just read on multiple reddit that Hetzner's IP transit to North America is not very god. Any truth to that?

Throughput is fine, latency is quite a bit higher than OVH FR (read: more than you'd expect solely from the location difference)

Ok so I did some testing from several servers and locations, any decent throughput is only via GTT, anything that goes over Cogent or Core Backbone (inbound from Telia and Level 3) is slow. CB gave me 16 mbps and Cogent 1.7 mbps. GTT was the only one acceptable at 180 mbps.
I have an SB52 ordered few days ago @ 42. Same as you mentioned but 2x4TB. It comes with an Intel server board S1200V3RP... hdds are WD REs @ 22,000 hours but seems in great shape. Now, I happen to also have the new EX41 2x4TB. Don't know which one to keep, sure the EX41 is faster but comes with customer grade hardware and no ECC. Oh, and the SB52 have an Intel nic, don't know if this matters at all.
No matter what, I think Hetzner is a good home for my ever-evolving porn collection.
