VPS in US for Netflix VPN

Hi!

I'm looking for a VPS to set up an OpenVPN server with access to US Netflix.

I'm aware Netflix blocks most DC IPs, but I also know some still work. I currently have a US VPS that works, but I 'd like a backup.

Virtualization is not important, Linux, 512 MB RAM or more, 100 mbps connection or more. 1 - 3 TB of traffic.

Willing to pay up to 15 USD/month.

I'm aware that nobody can guarantee for how long the IP will work, I just need one that works for now.

Please post here or PM me if you prefer.

  • I tell you something. Services that still work with Netflix aren't to be posted in public or they will no longer work really soon.

I know one but giving it up might bring great danger. In a similar topic someone mentioned it before already though.

There are probably several, frankly, but after seeing the ExpressVPN written up on The Sweet Bits, I bought the it, which I’ve been using for several weeks now, and I’m proud to say I have hardly missed an episode of television since.

Why do you need a VPN? Tell the truth.. its because your gf is too smart for you, monitors the wifi to see what you do on the phone's incognito browser when shes with other guys to make sure you aren't watching porn.. that it!

  • As I remember, winnervps has a direct peering with netflix, could give them a try :)

I am using a quite Popular VPN that works with Flix. Pm me for info. Why use an own vpn server if all you wanna do is unblock flix? Trust a big vpn provider with the task and they will find ways to do it...or not :P

We also have direct peering with Netflix in Seattle, Washington, however Netflix will block IP ranges frequently irrespective of peering arrangements. I have no idea if our IP ranges are blocked or not by Netflix. It seems like many of the tutorials these days seem to focus on IPv6 where Netflix takes a bit longer to block than IPv4, but thats just heresay.

this. Should still be possible to get vultr use bgp and get ur own ipv6 subnet somewhere.

I've had it be hit and miss with Vultr and PaperSpace, and believe it or not I managed to get a OVH France VM with a FR IP that wasn't blocked, I was able to visit netflix.com just fine, but they are heavily blocked, all their ARIN IPs are a no-go. I guess it was just pure luck or they haven't done an ASN ban on OVH yet.

All public VPNs are a no-go either, tunnelbear, VyperVPN, HotSpotShield, you name it, Netflix has it blocked hardcore.

  • Hi again, and thanks a lot for the offers from providers with Netflix-friendly IPs!

If I haven't already heard from you, please drop me a line. Still interested.

Speaking of, I really want to watch LetterKenny, but I don't live in Canada. :(

I have heard mentions of a certain Swedish torrent site, but I can't remember it's name...

  • Do you still have "Two and a half men" in US? I miss those guys.

    I sincerely hope not.

  • Plenty of SmartDNS providers that work well. Check out this http://unzoner.com/ requires a simple pi to run

  • SmartDNS is much better than VPN's. I would be using that

How does SmartDNS work? Don't Amazon and Netflix block data connections to the video streams based on ASN etc which would prevent SmartDNS from ultimately being useful? Afaik SmartDNS helps you get actual content links.

    ^^ This.

  • I would be very interested in VPS or dedicated server offers that would allow access to Netflix US as well! Any hints where I can find any? Would also be interested in other countries, mainly the UK and Germany.

If I would write here a provider good for Netflix it will soon be banned by Netflix. Be careful what you wish for and how you ask it, they are reading this too.

Why not just go for NordVPN or some shit like that?

Been using it for Netflix US myself. Apparently it works for Hulu, BBC, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and more?

I'm doing that, but I'd love to find out how they are able do it so that I can return to hosting my own VPN servers.

Well, thats why I'm looking for more hosts as backups. Three of the ones I use now have been good for over a year :)

    Netflix plan:

    1. Subscribe to VPSforVPN
    2. See what IP you get
    3. Block it
    4. Complain to VPSforVPN that the IP doesn't work and ask for a new IP
    5. GOTO 2

  • Go for vps which are not very popular they will definitely not blocked by netflix.

And all because some content providers in the U.S only believe U.S viewership is important. I will never understand some people.

Nah, they really aren't that effective.

One of the big players in the game have IPs that has worked for more than six months.
