dediserve reliable anymore?
Hi all,
i was just wondering if anyone else is starting to find dediserve no reliable anymore?
It seems to be happening more often that my VMS are not accessible and i have to contact them to see whats going on. And most of the time they knew nothing about the issues until i contact them and then they blame it on network providers.

I was never too happy with their network quality. I tried 3 different locations over the years and it was always the same. I was in heavy contact with James (?) at the last try and while he was very friendly, professional and all that, my "issue" could never get solved and I was a bit under the impression, that they did never really investigate and just kept me busy. I was just a lowend-customer in the end. That sucked. I simply decided to become happy somewhere else, which worked out fine. It's not that they are a unique unicorn of some kind.
Other people's mileage may vary. I am done with Dediserve, no hard feelings.
wow, just then almost every one of my VMS in their LA locations are down. can't even respond on their control panel to view them. it is sad as they use to be good but i keep finding that their quality of service is going down. I really would like to stay with them but i am not sure i can much longer.
I find the same Amitz, that if i have a problem that is clearly an issue in their end, they refuse to accept it and don't do anything about it to try to make their service good. they seem to have start to use the model or quantity over quality, thats why i am wondering if they have sold out recently?
I couldn't agree more with you
they always refuse to accept if that their fault no matter what. I've said too many time their network unstable sometimes I got < 1 Mbps, even on same city I got > 90 ms while to another provider 3-8 ms.
Some of their location is not stable because of frequent DDoS attack such as Vienna.
which location? jkt ?
yup
Their good network locations for me have been Lon.Docklands and Oslo (currently using, but mostly cogent last I checked. )
Frankfurt and Amsterdam have better options with other Brands.
I had major network problems back when I tried dediserve (twice, same problems both times) two or three years ago. They were nice and responsive but always claimed they didn't see any issues when my VM was spiking badly.
I begin to see a common pattern...
@vimalware let's see if it lasts. They've been bought by IOMart who isn't known for the best network. They have however re-assured after acquisition that nothing was going to change.
Fingers crossed for IOMart to keep their promise.
I think asking the question speaks enough on its own.. or you don't know how to google. Either or.
I have few 5 vps with them in different locations , till now didn't face any issue..
I use them in 2 locations and waiting for let2gb offer to grab another location..
In my experience they are very reliable and rock solid until now.
I am using dediserve for almost 1 year without any problem. But still I want to see more reviews here.
@dediserve
Hi guys,
Sorry you're seeing issues, if you could please raise a ticket we can certainly look into this. The reason we haven't caught this already is because we aren't seeing any issues on the LAX site, we have upwards of 600 customers there and none reporting any problems - but of course we are happy to look into it if you are seeing them.
As for the "never admit fault" comment, we understand the frustration, however we have a statuspage available, along with real-time incident reports on twitter etc, if we are seeing a genuine problem on our networks we report it there ahead of time and are 100% honest about issues - however, there are a lot of mitigating factors when people talk about latency or "speed", a lot of customers "issues" end up being their inter-connectivity between their home ISP and the DC itself, rather than problems on-site.
Thanks to the above for their kind comments about our service, we work hard to make it the best we can, and we take on board any criticism given.
Have 4 VPS with them and no issues so far.
User didn't report problem didnt mean everything fine. For example cloudvider, they had many Indonesian customer, no one ever report problem, not until I report these and problem goes away (never get update though)
Here's one of the example
57.47s to load that page
Since you asking about ticket, I create ticket about some problem few month ago, but that ticket auto-closed with no resolution. I love how the support always said "Okay I'll close this ticket, please re-open when the problem not fixed" when the problem still there.
Anyone ever got < 100 KB/s on Gigabit speed, dediserve one of them. Show they proof they'll tell you it's your ISP fault, even after show proof from multiple location, even between their VPS.
but I already move on, so no hard feeling.
Oh, they are with C4L. That would explain.
Funny thing we also didn't. Your ISP peers with us now but they never ever confirmed they have configured their end. We have a ticket open with them and followed it up as recently as this morning, still no response. Must have got jammed somewhere between someone's holidays :P. I guess it can be considered solved now.
With Dediserve more than a year in HK without issues. Only ticket was to change billing to another credit card and they replied quickly enough.
Do you have use some tools to monitoring the uptime.
At least I found HK server down twice 25 minutes each in the past few days.
Last year HK server down five times in a week also 25 minutes each.
I have uptimerobot , free version.
DediserveHK: Went offline for 27 minutes a few days ago. Before that 2201 hours elapsed since the outage on 28 May. ..
Leaseweb SG: down for 10 minutes 04 Aug, before that up 3100 hours
HostigationLAX: had announced upgrade 27 June, down for 2 hours, besides that not down for a year
RamnodeSEA: up for more than 4200 hours, history may have been flushed, can't remember when it was down last
I used to have 2 VPS at Dediserve but the service was not reliable and the support was not helpful at all so I gave up on them a few month ago.
The system engineer at Dediserve seems never troubleshoot the issue when I raised it up. When they got network issue, the fault was on customer. Then after I pointed out the problem was theirs (after a lot of downtime, frustration, investigation time), all I got is "Sorry!", no offer for pro-rata credit for the down time (I didn't know they have it stated in the ToS).
With this issue, I don't trust them anymore. I don't have enough time to investigate their network issues. Moved to Linode/Vultr and be happy so far.
Had a VPS with them 2 years ago, and decided to stop using it in 2nd day of services just because I can't browse LET and some other sites through VPN access.
