How does a Xeon 4114 stack up compared to E5 2630 v4?
Any ideas?

Did not give away much other than that 4114 is more expensive for just about the same performance.

Looks pretty much like a wash to me- with the L2/L3 cache being the only real noticable difference.
Do keep in mind that benchmarks for new CPUs have always a low amount of data which can skew this. Unless N = 250 or more this is not too useful data.
Same TDP, same core amount, the E5 is a bit higher default clock though.
4114 has less RAM support but more PCIe lanes (+8), it also does AVX-512 (1 CU) which the E5 does not at all.
If you use AVX-512 OR sometimes only few cores you go better with the 4114 - similar to AMD's XFR it can do "Speed shift" which raises clocks on 1-4 cores usage higher than the turbo (or same, but faster switched). If you do AVX (non 512) you likely also end up better with the 4114 as it can hold the full AVX load permanently (AVX is VERY processing heavy and easily crosses the TDP).
Ultimately thus, unless you need AVX/AVX512 or single thread speed: get the cheaper one.
