Looking for a semi-powerful server as plex media server
Hi all, newbie here... been reading LET for a while but just registered.
I'm looking for a semi-powerful VPS as a plex media server that's capable of transcoding 1-2 HD streams simultaneously.
*before you ask, yes I know VPS is not the best choice for Plex but that is what my budget allows for at the moment.
I'm currently located in mainland China and no, I'm not looking for a CN2 connection but if you could ping 101.224.8.1 with a 200-or-so latency (or better), that'd be ideal.
Here's the template:
VZ Type: KVM (or anything that allows for tcp_bbr)
Number of Cores: 2 or more
RAM: 2GB or more
Disk Space: 500GB or more
Disk Type: HDD Raid10
Bandwidth: 4TB or more
Port Speed: 1Gbit (burstable preferred though I probably won't need it)
DDoS Protection:Not really.
Number of IPs: 1-2.
Location: Anywhere that has a decent latency & connection with 101.224.8.1
Budget: $9/mo, but I can stretch to $20/mo on a really good offer
Billing period: Would prefer to pay annually

Only provider that immediately comes mind would be Wishosting ( @exception0x876 ). You can hammer away at the CPUs so you don't have to worry about breaking any AUP. Highest storage in the KVM lineup that's not NAT-based is 300gb. Though you may be able to purchase two and have them combined into one VPS, would be worth asking.

Yeah Micheal will combine them for you he is a good guy.
Wishoting. good for you looking and budget
Thank guys I'm PM'd @exception0x876 for a looking glass/test IP.
Any other offers?
I replied to your PM with an offer, and the pricing is between your two budgets
Thanks for the reply and offer
Please let me know when you are up & running on the west coast.
