Where do you want OpenVZ.IO To Go Next?

So after our recent updates in Amsterdam, we've not told everyone yet but all clients in NL have free inbound traffic. Including clients on OpenVZ.IO (High RAM Packages).

We're working to keep this going for our new servers wherever we may go.

We will be using own IPs which we < should > be receiving direct from ARIN and BGP Session with our datacenter and our own hardware.

We have plans to launch OpenVZ.IO in New York, NY & Los Angeles, CA, following will include free inbound traffic as well.

And as always, native IPv6 will be available in both locations.

What do you guys think of these 2 locations or do people want something else?

Well NY, NYC isn't cheap. Only one provider in LEB/LET I think does inside NYC :-) So anything is possible!

There are a few in LEB price range directly in NYC but with the exception of EOR most of them are lower RAM offerings. NinjaHawk is at Atlantic Metro in NYC. End of Reality is running a $5/2GB plan special on WHT at 111 8th (w/Ubiquity). Ubiquity itself also has a $6 cloud offering in NYC, and OpenVirtuals has a $4 NYC offering.

We have NL so no thanks, latency is not major and much higher network capacity :-)

Singapore, or at least maybe Los Angeles with lower ping to my country. Currently only a few lowendbox vps providers here (Los Angeles) who have a low ping to my country.

+1, I am very interested in a VPS at this location. Antarctica mentioned above is okay too.

The Ice Cube Neutrino Observatory data center is about the only choice :)

  • One irony: A warm day at the South Pole is 20 below zero, and the Ice Cube data center still faces cooling problems.

    Yup, keep acting immature :)

Actually quite happy we left UK, now a lot bigger with better hardware unlike RS who wanted to clear out there p400s and e5520s which are bound to RIP soon for all the RS guys who use them as we've been seeing already here on LET :)

Who is being immature? You never left the UK, you were not given the option to stay. That DDoS was going to follow you until you left.

Yes I want bigger specs, lower prices and I want you to sing me a couple of verses from 'Killing me softly' by the Fugees!

A 4GB RAM VPS with a bandwidth allowance of only 25GB-50GB monthly probably wouldn't sell too well. :P

An OpenVZ.io offering in Portlane / Stockholm or Radore / Istanbul might be interesting though.

  • +1 for Singapore or any Asian country.
