Would anybody happen to have a contact for somebody who can deal with a colocation deal in Burstnet Manchester UK? The reason I'm picking them over some other companies is that they offer a CiscoGuard DDoS service, but if somebody else has another idea, let me know!
I know a few employees at UKFast, it's a pretty nice operation from what I'm aware. They're mostly aimed at managed hosting though and some other random stuff IIRC.
Their Cisco Guard only stops floods against one server from interfering with other customers servers. It does little to nothing to mitigate or even protect IPs from interfering with each other attached to the same server.
Source: From my experiences in BurstNet L.A, Pennsylvania, Chicago, Dallas and Miami.
IceColo/M247 won't want the trouble. Melbourne added like 40Gbps late last year so will be more accepting to this but expect to pay out a pretty penny.

It's not burstnet any more, they sold their UK arm, can't remember who it is though.

It's still them for a couple of months
UKFast
@domainbop
Yes that's them, that really big well known firm UKFast. Wait... who the fuck are they?

I hadn't heard of them before they bought Burst UK but they're big enough to have their own Wikipedia article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UKFast and videos http://www.lawrencejones.eu/video/ecommere_expo
They appear more of a corporate player, maybe this is their play for the SME business.
They don't have the cisco guard in the UK fyi, not that it'd help much anyways.
So where would you guys suggest UK for DDoS Protection? Looking midlands upwards, i'd like to keep away from London :L
Looked at C4L?
c4l.co.uk/cloud/cloud-services/ddos-protection
Melbourne?
Thanks @R0t3N i've contacted them
You can talk to http://www.custodiandc.com (Kent), they're willing to setup ACLs and help 'mitigate'
Note: Bandwidth not cheap
You could always try UKFast... http://www.ukfast.co.uk/ddos-protection.html
Really depends on your budget.
@eastonch I know your looking out of London way, but Telstra are good, but they are present in Docklands and Woking.. http://www.telstraglobal.com/our-solutions/hosting-and-security-solutions/security-solutions/global-distributed-denial-of-service-protection
Well Burstnet.eu's billing portal says UKFast Limited.

You could give IceColo/M247 a go. They're in Trafford Park so very easy to get to via the M60.
TeleData is apparently a new data centre that just popped up in Whythenshawe, pretty much next to Manchester Airport.
