Anyone with Time4VPS/Hostens VPS? Can you share a speed bench?

Hi all,

I have used them in the past when all plans had 400Mbps / Network Speed. But now I see that their smaller plans only have 100Mbps.

Anyone using Time4VPS/Hostens Small VPS plans with 100Mbps network port? If you have the time and don't mind, please share the bellow speed benchmark so I can see how their network performs:

wget freevps.us/downloads/bench.sh -O - -o /dev/null|bash

Also from who is using them, any experience with their KVM plans?

Thanks

Unless you really need KVM, I'd suggest going for one of their OpenVZ plans.

  • kinda disappointed to see the KVM throttled to 100mbit

Time4vps port speed generally increase if you use higher plan. the lowest one is 100mbps, next plan goes to 200, so on and so forth. iirc, the max speed is 400mbps

Sorry, i don't have KVM with them.

    Thanks all for the benchmarks!

From what I see Large plans with more than 100Mbps only have advantage for European traffic, since to USA neither plans will get more than ~10 MB/s

@time4vps the disk speed of the Medium is equal to the Large plan, both limited to 50MB/s?

  • hey @hostens do you have a benchmark for the 1$ ovz plan?

This is a bench test I run on my ovz 11.88EUR annually VPS.

    Pretty solid VPS, good provider.

But frankly speaking, KVM plan is not very cheap.
