CPU info?
I ordered Core2Quad Q9550 and when I use cat /proc/cpuinfo its showing model name: unknown
Is there any otherway to check cpu ralated info?

Is this a physical server? If so you can easily reboot it and when you're logged into the remote management (KVM over IP, ILO, DRAC, IPMI, etc...) you'll see the CPU info.
The CPU family/model/stepping will tell you, if you can find the information online.
A google search brings up http://moowrap.net/hosts_user.php?sort=total_credit&rev=0&show_all=1&userid=2061 which shows:
GenuineIntel
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9550 @ 2.83GHz [Family 6 Model 23 Stepping 10]
Which matches your family/model/stepping.
What kernel version are you running?
(edit) found it at http://www.cpu-world.com/sspec/SL/SLB8V.html too; click the CPU ID tab
It smells like a virtual server with a weird configuration. Probably KVM with preconfigured cpu features?
it's just me or anyone didn't see "vmx" flags too?

I think that is XEN.
If you mean that specs are of a Xen one, maybe.
If you mean, "CPU with preconfigured features" is Xen, no, I mean this
