Hmm.. My VPS wasn't responding at all on port 22 last night, but now it does respond and shows an uptime of nine hours. Maybe there's something more than a DNS server change going on?
I think we all understand that things happen sometimes; it's how you communicate with your customers when they do that makes the difference.

What are your new authoritative DNS servers @regele? I assume most of us would know how to query them directly so we could visit the web site, use the control panel, etc. while we're waiting for the update.

Although I have to say that the past 24 hours gives me some concern, I am otherwise happy with the little VPS (in the Voxility location) that I picked up from the previous offer.
The only issue I see right now is that routing to Japan, or at least Linode in Japan (speedtest.tokyo.linode.com), is terrible. The packets take the long way around the world through Europe to the US to Japan.
For what I'm paying, I can't really complain right now.

With this update, this issue has also been resolved.
I'm not seeing a resolution, at least for linode's test IPs.
speedtest.tokyo2.linode.com has 3.7 MB/s throughout, but 295 ms ping times because it goes west to San Jose to get to Japan.
speedtest.tokyo.linode.com has 63.0KB/s throughput and 300+ ms ping times because it goes west to Seattle to get to Japan.
It might be limited to Linode, though? Hurricane Electric's looking glass gives times around 260 ms with a path through Singapore.
Anyway, nobody puts a server in Romania to get good connectivity to Japan, so I'm not worried about it.
