Dedicated core VPS in Europe
Hey guys,
I'm looking for a somewhat specific VPS or dedicated server host for running a game server. It's a source game, so it only runs on a single-core. That means I need a very high frequency CPU.
Requirements:
- I'd like to start out with 2 cores, with the potential to upgrade to more later.
- Dedicated CPU - Cores that can be used 100% of the time.
- High Frequency CPU - something like an E3 or i7, possibly overclocked?
- I would prefer the locations to be somewhere near London or Frankfurt.
- I don't have any specific budget requirements, but I would say <$45/month.
If you guys have any host recommendations I would greatly appreciate them.
Thanks!

Get a slice!
(people quote that stuff all the time here, wanted a go too
)
@Francisco
That looks close to what I want, however they are out of stock at this moment
(30% = Off on first invoice (LoveOBHost))
$5.20 ./Mo
PM me and let me know what plan you want and i'll do some magic.
Francisco
Looks like they are out of stock right now sadly.
Thank you!

Maybe netcup?
I've since some months with them and they're great. I'm often at 100% for some hours when we're building the new apps for our system.
I've the littlest root server at them.
Cores are E5-2680 v4 so not the highest passmark around. While using them 100% is fine and I like to recommend netcup often, they might not be the best fit here. Also they charge for upgrading the VM directly but at least it's possible though...
Given the budget mayne start directly with a dedi like from soyoustart game range.
with netcup ,around 45 USD can get a RS 6000 , or rise little more to RS 8000
with RS 6000, it's:
and SYS
but, just wonder
12 x 2.4GHz E5 2680v4 VS 8 x 3.4-3.8Ghz E3 12XX or E5 16XX , which wins ?
through I do think 36 GB DDR4 is better than 32GB DDR3 ?
with SYS game server you should get a i7-4790k for around that budget and while I agree that 12 core (more likely threads) /w 36GB is awesome and even may deliver more overall performance, I'd say if single thread performance is what we are looking at for game server appliances I'd rather go with that dedi in this case.
on the other hand if someone wants to order one of the higher spec'd servers from netcup at a cheaper price than what they actually have on display, here you go: https://www.netcup.eu/bestellen/produkt.php?produkt=1574
also there is an unlisted 6 Core offer: https://www.netcup.eu/bestellen/produkt.php?produkt=1562
(change to SSD or any other contract term length on all links as needed ;-))
Have a look at our VDS offer here

It seems that all of your plans except the £50.00 one are shared core? Is that correct?
Shared but you have the share guaranteed and can spike to other cores if they are free at the time.
Netcup is superb
At this price point, just get the real stuff :P

Not exactly "close to Frankfurt or London", but EU and dedicated cores (in two different tiers) available.
Offering services without provider tag, but with a nulled WHMCS. Furthermore incapable to read the rules and to apply for a provider tag correctly.
You should get a provider tag first.
We can offer 2 Cores at 3,4 GHz, 8 GB RAM, 120 GB Ssd and 250 GB HDD for 25€/month.
Cores are dedicated and Location is Germany, Frankfurt
No, he can fuck right off:
