DigitalOcean invaded by cryptocoin miners
Apparently no good deed in this world goes unpunished.
Offer $10 coupons, attract hordes of assholes trying to convert that into FREE CASH, overloading the service for everyone else, and what's most unfortunate, maybe causing DO to now put in place stricter CPU limits, perhaps also affecting users who did not actually abuse.
Also I doubt it's even that efficient, i.e. doesn't seem like they would mine if there wasn't this coupon, so I guess the Primecoin output of mining for 2 months 24x7 CPU is not much more or even less than $10.

This is what I don't like about *coin.
People actually do that? I thought the miners had more clever ways of mining. Using VPS seems a bit daft... especially as I'm guessing a very large majority would not permit it.
