Dacentec Ipv4 block allocation bug ?

We recently noticed that we had alot of reports for abuse coming from IP ranges 192.198.80.0 - 192.198.95.255

Did a quick whois

NetRange: 192.198.86.192 - 192.198.86.223
CIDR: 192.198.86.192/27
OriginAS: AS31863
NetName: VPSCORNER-EVO-BLOCKS
NetHandle: NET-192-198-86-192-1
Parent: NET-192-198-80-0-1
NetType: Reallocated
RegDate: 2013-03-05
Updated: 2013-03-06

Is it just me or is it confusing an old block we purchased in U.S before we decided to pull out of U.S due to IP allocation issues quick enough to satisfy sales demands.

Has anyone else experianced this, Bought a node with ip blocks, Left that node behind an then still had abuse reports coming for next customer that block was sold to, Our assumptions was any previous allocations would be cleared before resale point so abuse claims go to correct handler.

An yes before anyone says well just tell Dacentec, We have twice emailed once it bounced back an we have just re-issued email now to alert them.

THis is mainly a topic to ask how many other providers have dropped IP-Blocks an still had Point of contact when its re-allocated to new users, Re-used without being dropped for ISP's defaults.

This could of been our issue as it was default to begin with we had DC change all point of contacts as we always do so we can handle abuse reports in house. Although when dropping a range we would expect ISP to default the POC on it so any new user of block isnt abusing an we are receiving the solicitors letters for copyright claims.

If Dacentec is not responding to your request to remove your info, you can e-mail ARIN and request that they remove it. They have a policy in place about that.

If dacentec are re-allocating to a new customer, Months after; We kinda feel it should be there responsibility to add at least One POC of theres, At moment its showing just us for abuse/support/POC. Which means any abuse an legal claims are coming to us dispite us never using that range.

I understand days apart but months apart. An they control the POC on there system thus they can apply defaults back to range upon cancellation.

But your prolly right qps, Thats why made this topic wasn't quite sure on why the POC stayed around months later..
