    Dear cron jobs,

    I hate you too.

    Sincerely,
I can't remember my name right now.

Thanks for the heads up, sorry about that. I'm on some heavy pain meds right now for an infected tooth. Worst pain I've felt in my entire life thus far, I'm pretty useless. No excuse though.

Odd, did you not get a number of notification e-mails from Let's Encrypt? If expiry notifications weren't sent out, that'd probably be a pretty serious bug.

To be honest I used [email protected] for it, have a ton of certs expiring for subdomains I don't use, and only have [email protected] configured on my new phone since I went android. So I'd say it's all me and not anyone elses doing. Just me failing :(

  • It's 1 time payment for life time service. This is clearly not sustainable. You guys had it coming, deal with it.

I like your thinking. But most of us here are old and married. We just login to troll some kids. :) Then there is the rare good post with some IQ on it which makes this community interesting.

Hence, I'm asking. If I'm not mistaken, Jarland is deep in the Apple ecosystem (iPad pro, phone, watch?), so Pixel looks like a curveball.

Just wait for the Pixel 2's 2:1 screen.

Quite a curve ball indeed. But I knew if I wanted to give Android a solid try, I needed to pick the device where Google has input on both hardware and software. The Pixel XL is by far the best Android experience I've had.

I also installed Ubuntu on my iMac so it's been an interesting two weeks ;)

So how are you getting internet access with Ubuntu?

I think it was somewhere around the kernel 3.2 range that they started bundling in ethernet drivers.

Quite flawless on 17. Didn't have to do any extra configuration for it.

That's awesome. I had quite a lot of problems with Ubuntu on my desktop and laptop. Mostly GPU driver related (laptop had some weird dual card thing).

I ended up using Manjaro KDE instead, works amazingly.

Somewhere around 5.10 they started bundling alpha grade drivers so you had to disable them to do an install and not core.

    Some things never change.

All I remember is the story about the poor girl who had to drop out of college because Ubuntu didn't have support for Verizon
