Best free virtual machine software?
Hello sirs,
I have a dedicated server and I am looking to split it up into different VM's for my projects, it's currently running Linux but can be changed to Windows. How do you recommend I go about it and which panel's to be exact? I want it to be free as I'm not using it to make money.. maybe something like VMware?
Recommendations please.

CentOS is a flavor of Linux. Take a look at Proxmox.

Yeah I meant to type Windows, was thinking about CentOS at the time.
I use Virtualbox on my Windows machine at the office. I picked up on it very quickly compared to Proxmox.
If you only use it yourself, go with Virtualbox. It's super easy to use and works out of the box. Proxmox is really over-sized for some personal VMs.
Hyper-V, or just use virtualizor for linux
Virtualizor might be easy for use, but it's not free.
So you can go for Proxmox, otherwise, maybe you want to do it the other way.
Install any GUI Based Linux and then put VMWare player or virtual box on it, I think that would be really easy for you.
You can do that with windows too, but than windows license is included.
You can easily install KVM in Linux. Here is the guide.

Mount proxmox 5 ISO
Very happy with Proxmox
I just heard win 10 launched Ubuntu in windows app store
Not tried it though
Best free virtual machine software
JVM
Sorry couldn't resist
Infocom's Z Machine
Hyper-V, Its best and free. (OS - Windows 2012/2016)
SolusVM v2, hands down best I've ever used.
funny.
dual boot esxi & proxmox
Openvz panel
Proxmox runs great and it's free
I have good experience with VirtualBox. it's basically comparable with VMWare Workstation.
Been using VirtualBox myself on a workstation/notebook for test setups.
On a dedicated server? Proxmox is the best free panel I've ever used.
On desktop: Something from VMware or Virtual Box.
KVM is what I used all of the time.
