How do it work - using VPN on two servers with the same dedicated IP

Hello.

I have a VPN provider that's provide me with a dedicated IP that I use for server login and everything else that I can set a IP block on.
Today I copied my Hyper-V server from home to one of my servers in Europe, since I will have a planned power outage tomorrow at my home (almost all day).

When I use my Hyper-V server on my EU server - and still have my Hyper-V server turned on at home, my VPN client is active on both servers, giving me the same public IP.

How is this possible? I want pretty sure that you can't have two of the same public IP? Or do this not apply to VPN solutions?

  • that your VPN ip, not your main IP (server IP) which is different

you get same outgoing IP but different VPN client ip right?

just thing IP NAT, thousand client with one public IP
