Has anyone tried CloudAsia.com.sg?

Ok forks,

Sequel to the previous discussion lowendtalk.com/discussion/1092/singaporehk-leb-providers, I just found a Singapore provider CloudAsia.com.sg and want to know if anyone has tried them before.

Their budget vps is 256MB RAM/100GB BW/20GB Storage for $15.99. It does not fit our budget requirement but I think asia budget vps starts from $15. They claim their servers hosted in Softlayer Singapore (which is very good I think)

However, my main concern is that their website does not seem legit... They are using a very generic template, no working links to FAQ, contact nor even Terms and Condition. I don't know if anyone could trust a provider like this.

I did a quick research and they are probably resell services from http://www.hostemo.com.

Update1: The domain is register in 11/2011, and I found some connections to http://cheapvps.cripperz.sg/ which is in the dead pool now.

@giang, thought you may be interested in this.

Hmm... phone numbers started with 8 or 9 are mobile numbers.

By the way, the domain registrant is "Gourmet Cuisine Pte Ltd", i.e. www.gourmetcuisine.com.sg. And, the PayPal recipient goes to "De Calla Catering", i.e. www.decalla.com.sg.

    Now that's kind of interesting.

  • @eLohkCalb well, i did not know that the chef can cook servers and vpses these days. Sounds delicious. :P

  • Hmm, wouldn't look into this. A number starting with 8 and 9? They don't even have a toll-free or business number. Gourmet Cuisine? I think I've seen one of their stores at Orchard, which makes me ponder why a restaurant would go into the hosting business.
