Shardhost is a UK LTD company (reg 07679837) that has been providing hosting services since June 2011. We currently serve over 3500 clients. We own all of our VPS hardware.

All services are currently being offered out of our racks in Dallas, Texas (Colo4Dallas DC via CC).

We've had a great experience with all of our clients from Lowendtalk/Lowendbox so far and want to continue to develop further hosting relationships here.

    It depends on what usage it is likely to be and how you are willing to manage the resources yourself. PM specifics and I can give you a better idea.

    Video encoding pretty much means using all the CPU you have constantly, there's no way it's going to be allowed on a <$7/mo plan

    Agreed, although if it's something like a video upload site that has low usage and spikey CPU requirements we're happy to work with clients if they are willing to throttle resources.

    Private torrents are fine. Please note; however we do act on DMCA notices. I include below our stance on stored content:

    Shardhost welcomes clients who wish to store legal public and private content on it's services.

    Any DMCA notices received by Shardhost will be forwarded to the client via support ticket. Clients must act on and reply to the DMCA notices within 24 hours. Failure to act will lead to service suspension. Service will not be restored until Shardhost is given permission to remove the offending content

    Repeated DMCA notices may result in the termination of services. In the event of service termination the client will be notified in writing via support ticket and will be offered an opportunity to take a copy of their data held. Failure to reply to this ticket within 14 days will result in the deletion of data with no opportunity of retrieval

    Clients will ultimately be responsible for DMCA notices resulting from their use of services

    Our phone number is just for the office. As stated in our terms all support is via ticket.

    Just managed to order one with 512mb. Somehow Fraud checks were triggered twice, but went through with payment the third time. Wait to see how excellent it would be for development.

    what If i buy 30/yr 1g kvm and double it and should I be getting 4cpu , 2 ip address as well?

    The second IP would require justification via ticket; however yes CPU doubles also.

    @Sharhost : ok, i though everything double or triple.

    got it, everything but 2nd or 3rd IP need the justification if double or triple cases.

    I know that feeling. Often receive annual payment reminders for services. Did a count of personal VPS, stopped when got to 24
