20GB of disk space is enough. My budget €2,5 per month. Immediately need.

Maybe, Scaleway. A little more expensive than 2,5 euros but with unlimited bandwidth. And 50GB of SSD.

    The OS, yes.

For the seedbox you can use something like Quickbox.

There is a one click torrent installer application in Scaleway. You get rutorrent and h5ai.

  • drakuladrakula Member

i agree, aruba is the perfect option and cheaper too

  • got a scaleway earlier for this exact purpose and it's a good replacement for my kidechire so far (except only 50GB space but that's fine for me)

Quickbox is hogging resources like hell, if you fancy rTorrent/ruTorrent, just go with the Torrent template for Scaleway, although it's not HTTPS by default.

I prefer Transmission with Web UI though.

  • Torrent Template from Scaleway is pretty shitty, imo.

I used it and rTorrent came broken out-of-the-box, I had to deleted everything and reinstall. Do a favor to yourself, use Ubuntu 16.XX and install rTorrent/ruTorrent by yourself.

  • ^ what josee said, but I prefer Debian.

rtorrent and rutorrent is really easy to set up

  • I had a seedbox with online.net for a few years. It always worked good.

Sadly Arubacloud doesn't allow the best price of 1€ for any of the good DCs (FR/UK/DE, all Equinix), only for their weak own ones. (I still have one active luckily in DE)
If you're fine with these weak ones, take it, no better offer available for that price.

Anyway, if you don't want a huge script like quickbox (What webserver does it use? Apache I presume? If this is the case, then this goes for the script itself as well), I stongly recommend arakasi72's rtinst script, it comes with nginx (best webserver anyway imho lol) and pureftpd out-of-the-box. (of course, you can remove ftp-server manually afterwards if you just use sftp)

You can grab it from github: https://github.com/arakasi72/rtinst

Just use deluge or transmission...both are easy to setup....

  • Scaleway , qbittorrent-nox (remote web admin without dependency of apache/php/other tricks).

    Quick question.

Scaleway(Paris, Amsterdam) or BuyVM slice(Luxembourg)? I'm looking something with fast network for running vpn, tor relay(non-exit) and occasional torrenting (nothing big).

Scaleway has bigger disk, BuyVM little faster network (1Gbps port).

Main requirement is fast peering to Eastern Europe.

    So what do you recommend?

    Is there scaleway looking glass?
With this buyvm looking glass (lu-test.buyvm.net) peering to me looks good.

Are Scaleway API servers good for looking glass?
    cp-par1.scaleway.com
    cp-ams1.scaleway.com

    Thanks for helping :)
