Hi everyone,

We're looking to fill a part-time support role at BHost.

This is a part-time, freelance position with flexible working conditions. We don't require you to be based in our London office - you can work from anywhere in the world. Hours are subject to discussion but are anticipated to be approximately 20 hours / week. The successful applicant would be required to supply their own computer and internet connection.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers with their technical and non-technical questions and queries, in a timely and professional fashion

• Diagnosing and resolving technical issues - hardware, software, networking

• Improving our systems and processes (e.g. writing scripts to automate currently manual processes)

Requirements

• Good work ethic, strong desire to self-improve, strong desire to provide excellent customer service

• Excellent communication skills - written and verbal. Good command of the English language

• Experience with OpenVZ / Xen maintenance (KVM and VMware a plus)

• High competency in Linux server administration (CentOS specific experience a plus)

• Understanding of network administration & monitoring. Understanding of DNS, routing and layer 3 switching (Cisco switch management experience a plus)

• Strong grasp of PHP, MySQL, shell script, HTML, CSS

• Experience with Ubersmith and SolusVM software platforms would be beneficial but not a necessity
