Actually I was hoping for some more yearly offers but the monthly offers do not seem that "bad". I will check them out ofc. I am still looking for more yearly offers since somehow my old vps with contraweb has been cancelled for some reason. But thank you very much for the current offers.

  • jesstdjesstd Member

Thanks for the offer. But I am wondering though, what does 1/4 core actually mean?

You can expect, at minimum, around 1Ghz all to yourself.

Most nodes don't get capped so you can usually burst as well.

BuyVM KVM slices are great and 1/4 core should be plenty of power from what I've experienced

Contraweb seems to have done a runner with those plans. There's more info in the original offer thread. Someone should start a general thread about it.

If you're on the super cheap, I'd go for an openvz plan, maybe even lowendspirit.

    Thanks.

Finally I got ubuntu-14.04 template loaded and then upgraded to 16.04, just using command 'do-release-upgrade'.
