FWIW I'm happy to consider Maidenhead, Enfield, Kent etc. as London, as it seems that everyone else does. Bonus points if anyone can offer a VPS in London proper though. I live close to Canary Wharf and have fibre to the premises so latency is almost non-existent.

Thanks. I did a trawl of these forums but it looked like @piohost was Bristol or Wigan only? I liked the look of @clouvider - it seems to have a great network - but the "latest LET offers" links of his all go to expired offers.
Yes we operate in wigan and bristol only now, Try @zare as we use there bristol location however they have a london location that they have VPS in as well
If you would like a test ip for our location let me know and i will pm you one, it may be worth a look as an alternative to London
