For SSR, its python implementation works as both server and client. Look into the JSON config file and you'll see.
Yes, it does, and working quite well for me. There is a tutorial here.

This is not right, there is not any law forbid people use VPN or proxy tools in China.
Just banned some site by GFW and interference PPTP or Openvpn that cause connection interruption.
@jerusalem_ru Don't worry, personal using SS or SSR and any ports are ok.
Is there an alternative to Shadowsocks?
V2Ray or Lantern
How do I config a simultaneous connection in Shadowsocks? For e.g.: port 8080 -> 1 concurrent connection, port 8081 -> 1 concurrent connection etc.
My friends sometimes share their accounts. I want to get ahead of this. Thanks.

yeah. shadowsocks it's working fine.
My SSR server on Vultr got blocked yesterday. Anyone else getting their servers blocked recently? I guess his emperor has an important meeting in Beijing soon.
Just curious... are you the only user? You use(d) SS all the time or 'on demand'?
You are in or near an important location?
Yes, I was the only user and used it in Global Mode on my computer but bypassed some apps on my phone. I just replaced it with a new server and so far so good. Just thought it was strange that it got blocked in the first place.
I'm not near anywhere important. Where the mountains are high and the emperor is far away, as they say.
