SSD DRAM-Flush by IPMI Hard-Reset?

rushwayrushway Member
edited April 2017 in Help

Hi guys,

we all know that solid state drives without power loss protection wipe their DRAM on power-outages. And that can be result in corrupted files. Does the same problem exist when I proceed a hard-reset by ipmi? I think an ipmi hard reset is similar to the reset switch on the mainboard. But recognize the ssd the reset command and flush the DRAM before shutting down?

I appreciate your help :)
