You can have any view you want, but you can't act like a dick on LET.

And again, you apparently have no idea what you're talking about so yeah, sure, you have a right to be completely ignorant.

True , I can vouch for that . Most outsourcing in India here work for big players like British airways,Brazil ISPs and at&t (I know guys working in these companies personally )

... and the rest of them work for an IRS call center.

Well many are caught so it should reduce now ;)

Senior's pension 1248 Hryvna, that est $45. That amount officially set by govs. You can look into docs if needed.

Their currency took a huge hit since the russian invasion. Would have been like 120$ or so before the war. :P

I didn't realise IT wages in other countries were so low. Seems weird though that I could hire a whole team of people for a month on a decent wage for the same price as my groceries.

  • Hi where can i find good web dev for cheap. I've used freelancer but they try to fuck me over.

When you are given pennies for hard work, it's trivial to get you to dance for dollars. See also: IRS Scammers, Microsoft Scammers, et al...

Because IT is often the only decent paying job, it tends to attract anybody with a basic math/science education. In Belarus, there was a program (backed by World Bank maybe) to re-train its surplus of accountants to become developers and QA testers. These guys (and gals) aren't stupid - but they are following market demand as opposed to being dedicated, self-starting IT professionals who probably started coding when 12 years old.

Titles are also handed out rather liberally: "Juniors" are practically interns out of high school whereas the "Seniors" might just have a few years experience but decent skills to work on independent projects. (But these seniors will ask for US$3000+ per month.)

Probably because you're looking for cheap, instead of quality. You get what you pay for.

  • my opnion is, as long as they (namecheap) do well to their customer, no problem at all

  • Correct point if outsourced support is good then fine ..not like EIG since support has been moved service has been downhill.

Down to one? I thought a whole family lived there- I can't say I've paid attention to it in 20 years.

And then there's the Rebel Government in Exile, not to mention the Kingdom of Marduk.

Seems about right !! How about antractica ?

  • hostdare said: How about antractica ?

Probably very expensive. I shudder to think of the price of a head of lettuce there.

USA companies LOVE to make other countries RICH, while they make their own people poor.

I'm from Ukraine and confirm that middle pension is about $45, middle income is about $150.
But salaries in IT are $2000-4000 (for specialists or "pro")

  • Namecheap is a decent size company but I'm assuming the margins are razor thin and outsourcing makes sense.

  • self-interest is the universal religion.

    Outsourcing is just a symptom.

Namecheap is not a "big" company.

Most people don't even seem to realize they're not a real registrar. They're a reseller for enom.

ya, they were* resellers but now they say that they manage their own domains and any previous domains renewed will be auto transferred from enom to namecheap. I heard the reason was, when enom got bought, they didn't inform namecheap of the such action, so maybe they got pissed or something lol.

Although, namecheap's wikipedia page says they are still a reseller...
