I am needing a Chicago server for a project. Needs to be very optimized in terms of low latency and great peering. I am considering the above networks. I am wondering what your thoughts are on those 4 companies listed above in terms of their networks. Which is best in your opinion? Why? I am open to other suggestions of different companies also..

Clearly, it is Colocrossing. Now I don't just say that because they own this board. There is tons of reviews showing just how spectacular they are!

Why are you being offtopic for? He didn't even mention CC and for the record Chicago is one of the better CC locations.
I have used Steadfast in NJ and their network is one of the best, if not the absolute best in north east USA when it comes to latency. I haven't used them or anyone else in Chicago but have read good things about the network there too.
+1 for Steadfast. They have one of the best networks in that region.
Steadfast isn't too bad. Try BudgetVM. Their Chicago locations were solid when they switched to their own network.
I will look into BudgetVM. Haven't heard of them before.

Looks like you are using Colocrossing Chicago as your bandwidth provider?
Which I think Colocrossing uses ServerCentral as one of their upstreams which I kind of like.
