Looking for VPSes in lots of locations

TomTom Member
edited March 2017 in Requests

Hi all.

I am looking for a set of VPSes in a number of locations. I don't really have any budget set but they've got to be reasonable.

Requirements for the VPS:

  • IPv4
  • Native IPv6 (important) - single address is okay but a full /64 subnet is preferred
  • At least 512mb RAM
  • At least 10G space
  • At least 300GB bandwidth (possibility to upgrade would be nice)
  • Not OVH
  • Preferably KVM (LXC is okay too!)
  • Reverse DNS (doesn't matter if set via ticket)

The locations I am looking for are:

  • 2x EU (west, central/east?)
  • 2x US (east, west?)
  • 2x "exotic" (i.e not eu/us [e.g. Australia])

Looking Glass / Test IP's are nice too!

I am also open to other locations. The VPS' will be used for monitoring (lots of http checks and pinging).

Thanks all!

  • We can strike one location off your list. We have KVM or LXC services located in Tampa, FL (US east). Native IPv6 is included (not a full /64) and reverse DNS can be managed by you with our custom control panel.

Let me know if you're interested and I'll toss a custom plan your way.

Get a slice! We can tick 3 of the VM's off (1 EU, 2 US).

@Yoda - we have Bulgaria (East EU), Nuremberg in DE and London in UK, pretty much covering whole EU. We also have NJ in the US and LA(No native IPv6). rDNS possible everywhere.

Already got 5 or so :) I'll probably be using NY for this and possibly LV. Is LU still unstable-ish? Last time I really looked it was up 'n' down which is no good for a monitoring slave :(

SA sounds very nice! On PhotonVPS website under http://www.photonvps.com/linux.html when clicking on Order for the SA box I get redirected to the Windows order?
    Probably being stupid :)

When was that? LU had issues with their old Cisco's but they replaced that all and its been good since. We got additional bandwidth to light any day now to add some extra redundancy.

Oneprovider and VPSfast cover a lot of locations in one place KVM with reasonable specs and prices.

Quite a while ago. Fair enough - I still have two LU slices :) I'll chuck it up on a monitor and if it's good will probably use it! Thanks.

Not a fan of oneprovider but I'll take a look at VPSFast - thanks!

They both not a bad. Oneprovider has a some unique set of features, such change location on the fly if no more need it. Need new, just destroy old and get a new. Pretty stable.

  • Use vultr for your exotic locations. 512mb/20gb/500gb in australia/japan/singapore should be exotic enough. Max 2 vms though, so for your more "normal" locations you should use something else.

Thanks all for your offers. So far I've picked up:

    • Hetzner - Germany
    • AlphaVPS - Bulgaria
    • VaporNode - Florida
    • Fiberoute - London
    • Seattle - Ramnode

    I am considering:

    • New York - BuyVM
    • Netherlands - ? (ramnode, verelox?)
    • South Africa - PhotonVPS/Psychz
    • Tokyo - ? (vultr?)
    • Singapore - ? (vultr?)
    • Australia - ? (vultr?)
    • Luxembourg - BuyVM (already have 2x here just worried about past issues, hopefully they have been resolved like @Francisco said ;)
    • Los Angeles - ? (ramnode, budgetnode?)

I am mostly good on EU at the moment, maybe one more. I need a couple more US and 3 more "exotic" locations
