Shoutcast Host
Hi,
Can someone recommend me a reliable Shoutcast host please? Preferably using centova. The one they've been with for a few years has become super unreliable.
Requirements:
192kbps
100 listener limit
No auto DJ (if it was available a bonus)
UK or Europe.
Any suggestions welcome

Mention that it works only on KVM (or any other real hypervisor), not on Openvz or LXC
(As for malware detection warning on Sourceforge, it is old news, they found the issue and they have cleaned the software ages ago)
that is correct about mscplite as it will not function correctly on a openvz. It will install on openvz but not work like intended. I installed it on my Centos vps but can't get it to do things. It looks very nice though for free.
I know you can get a paid version of mscp but how does one get hold of the coders to buy it.
I'll give mscplite an install on one of my KVM servers. Is it fit for a production environment or buggy?

If you have ipchains or any firewall, you have to install as root and allow 1 pots to get out and in. Mscplite is very sophisticated looking with autodj and file uploads and no mysql database.
I had it some what working on openvpz but it F's up. It warns you during install it can't install on openvz but just do it and it does.
It was installed as root, firewall was turned off. Could get into the admin cp on the custom port just fine. Just when I tried to add a user it did nothing.
FYI, if you do install mscplite on your vps, do so with the knowledge you should be ready to install a new O/S if it fails to work or if it does work and you don't want it on your vps. I tried several times to remove it but failed, so I just nuke the O/S and reinstall to start over.
@Gerrard8 I have installed it in many vps, it works like a charm. You have to do the initial configuration in admin's panel and tell the platform what ports will be used for streaming. I cannot understand exactly the nature of your issue: Is the panel unavailable to create new users? Or you cannot login as new user? Mention that user login is being done from the url xxxxxx.com/mscplite and admin via xxxxxx.com/mscpliteadmin iirc.
If you want, I could help you giving me a temp access to admin area.
This is mandatory. You should install the panel in a clean, minimal installation of ubuntu or debian (it says it works on Centos 6.4 but I have read there are some bugs when using centos).
It does not working on Openvz. Yes, it can be installed, but the platform cannot connect to the icecast server nor handle users and streams, so it is useless. It used to be working on Openvz in previous editions, but it does not anymore.
Yup, I tried installing on fresh Centos 7, Centos 6 and 5 32/64 as well as debian. But because the O/S's are on openvpz it will not work like it should.
So jvnadr, do you have it working and broadcasting with mscplite on kvm with which O/S?
I'd install it myself personally on a server as others have suggested but...

Got it working on Debian 7, but for some reason it kept saying the password was wrong when trying to connect with SAM broadcaster.

I register to them, fund my account with $50 and then they stole the money and closed the account without even answering to my mails. I could not open any tickets as my account has been closed, and I opened a paypal dispute. Their facebook page is also full of bad reviews.
