Cpanel default spf record

Am helping a friend setting up his Cpanel server to use a smarthost, dose anyone know anyway to modify the default spf record for new account's as he need to add a include to insure the outgoing mail still passes spf.

  • It allows you to add includes on the "Authentication" page.

I know you set it there, am talking about changing the default record when you enable spf which defaut's to v=spf1 +a +mx +ip4:server-ip ~all to v=spf1 +a +mx include:_spf.relay ~all

  • Edit the zone templates and you can specify that as the default.

  • Am not sure that the zone templates controls the default spf record of Cpanel but i will give it a try.

  • At the end of every zone template, add this and try again:

    %domain%. IN TXT "v=spf1 +a +mx include:_spf.relay ~all"

That work's partly, it work's ok for new account

But if a user enable spf via authentication it still use's the default spf template

Anyway to override what the default for that is.
