  • ..why not just grab one from Hetzner? They're always available.

My main target was actually SSD, so, if I don't get anything here, I'll get one with HDD at Hetzner then

  • They actually do have SSDs crop up from time to time. @VortexMagnus - got anything SSD?

  • How about an E3 with 32GB RAM and 4x1TB HDD?

I have one available in Dallas. It has Hardware RAID AND a BBU. Is an E3-1240v3, $49.95 per month.

Soyoustart has some nice SSD offers. Also online.net if you don't mind a setup fee.

SoYouStart Support sucks + No IPMI and no ECC RAM.

Online.NET network is terrible (from what I have heard) + No PP

  • Online.net support has been ok for me. Haven't used SYS. OVH has been a mixed bag. No idea about IPMI but I haven't needed it myself so far. Are you serious that SYS Xeon dedis don't have ECC? Yikes.

Hmm I see their W3520 Xeons specify that they have ECC, but the rest don't say. Sounds discouraging.

I have both Online and SyS servers. I have got the E3-SAT-3 of SyS. That doesn't have ECC.
