Need a cheap yearly VPS
Hi,
I need a ultra cheap kind of cheap (~12$/Yr) VPS with the following specs, paid annually -
- 256 to 512MB RAM
- 10 to 15GB SSD storage
- 50 GB/mo traffic @Gbit
- 1 x IPv4 (With rDNS management)
- DDoS protection would be nice
- Location - NL, FR, CA, UK or LA
- Don't care about the virtualization, but KVM would be nice.
- Uptime is important.
- Would prefer to buy from hosts who have been around for a while and have a decent reputation around these parts.
I'll pick up a couple, if different locations are available for my LowEnd yet Geographically redundant setup.
Usage -
Private OpenVPN server, and maybe pihole to run ad free DNS for personal use.
Any good deals around, or hosts that you guys would recommend?
Thanks!
PS: Edited the post to reflect actual budget since 'ultra cheap' seems to have scared a whole lot of LowEnd hosts away.

A bit OT, but there is a nice GIF:

Take a look to our DeepNet Solutions plans: https://www.deepnetsolutions.com/openvz-vps.html

Thanks @davidgestiondbi
I just edited my post to reflect my budget, since the word ultra cheap seemed to have scared a whole lot of LowEnd hosts off.

Thanks, but I checked that offer before I opened this topic, and it seems that server is out of stock (Unless @AnthonySmith had a few cancellations).
As a matter of fact, I searched most topics within the the last week or two, but couldn't find a decent offer that met the criteria.
Bought one @ NL. Got a terrific deal. Thanks @Ishaq!
You can try Rectified service provide if you're looking for KVM virtualization. The connection is good if you dont mind slow hard drive speed sometimes.
You can try: https://dstn.uk/order.php?step=0&productGroup=18
Uptime is important, as he said.
How is dedistation's uptime?
Pretty bad and/or unreliable support. I ordered a VPS from them a month ago. I waited 20 days for it to be provisioned but it never was. I was forced to file a dispute at that point but they never replied to any of my support tickets.
P.S. The dispute ended in my favour as DediStation didn't even bother to take any action in the dispute.
You are asking hard request, but if you willing to compromise one or two, try Ramnode.
Im not using their service anymore, but 2 years with them was nothing but a good experience.

Hi, I have a VPS with the following config:
512 MB RAM
10 GB SSD Storage
1000GB Bandwidth
1 CPU Core
1 IP Address
Location: Atlanta
I am not using it. Price is $12. Bitcoin accepted. I can give you ssh access.
same vps is available here: https://www.vortexnode.com/clients/cart.php?a=add&pid=46
and @quadhost and @contraweb might have offers.
Atlanta, GA: https://www.vortexnode.com/clients/cart.php?a=add&pid=46
I have that and it is great. Amazing it's still available.

OVZ 2GB/10GB-SSD/1TB/IPv4-v6 + Atomated rDNS in LA for $15/yr
So, you never had any dedistation vps but you still have an opinion about their uptime!
Serious, now, dedistation's uptime is fine. But their vps are low end (probably overcrowded servers), they can handle some low traffic sites with non critical services there, but that's all. I used support over 3 months ago, but most members are saying that now support is minimal to non existing.
And it is a bit odd that they moved from their old domain to a new one (dstn.uk), even if the old one redirects there and they have changed nothing to the client area and services.
hostwithlinux.net -> dedistation.com -> dstn.uk -> ???

I can provide u this: https://contraweb.net/klanten/cart.php?a=confproduct&i=1
Unfortunately we don't have any (D)dos protection at the moment for these plans.
rDNS is possible.
I will get a VPS with this specs too.
