Alexa Rank pattern in most web hosting companies during the last weeks

Hi there,
I don't know if some of you noticed, but we did at OneSite
There wasn't any logical reason behind it, but our alexa worsened starting in December 2016.
I started looking around, and apparently this was something generalised for most of the other web hosting companies:
http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/godaddy.com
http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/bluehost.com
http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/hostinger.com.ar
http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/1freehosting.com
http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/godaddy.com
http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/bluehost.com
http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/hostinger.es
http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/1and1.com

In some other companies, this wasn't the case.
Even though, it was the case in many web hosting companies.
What's even more curious, is that this took place more or less within the same time boundary.
Any idea if alexa updated anything that could be affecting web hosting companies?

Is this happening to you as well?
