ISPs no longer need to forward copyright complaints for downloaded torrents in US to users?

    This is only applicable to a system that a few home ISPs in the US agreed on, think of it as a friendly "we see you torrenting, here are some legal alterantives like hulu" but not quite legal notice.

    Takedown/C&D/DMCA etc is still 100% valid and enforced and will continue to be sent

  • Not in the US my self but had a quick read and as it was said above looks like they just gave up on the idea of sending letters saying your downloading pirated stuff.

    Don't let that fool you though it is still illegal to copyright material you don't own ;)
