Currently have Avast installed but consider it rather a battery drain than actual protection. Guess Ima uninstall soon and rely on brain.exe

What do you use on your phone?

  • Do not use any AV on my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, and have never used any AV on all my other Android phones either. I have used Android since 2010, and never got any virus on my phones.

Brain.exe won't work on Android. You should try braind.

No need for AV, better invest in a fireproof vest.

You are thinking about Galaxy 7 Note...no issues with the battery in 7 Edge.

Possible. I'm not an Explosives Engineer.

  • AV only eats battery and slowdown your phone, no more

  • Nope, no need for one.

  • Not on any platform

I do use Kaspersky, great antivirus.

  • Using antivirus will suck up your ram/battery

  • no AV in my android :)

  • Have been using Android since its launch in 2008, but have never felt inclined in any way to ever consider getting an Anti-Virus software for any of my phones.

I have never skipped any update from Google or device manufacturers, and so far, I have had a pretty good experience.

Using Eset mainly because of Anti-Theft option.

  • No. It's a false sense of security.

I use inbuilt antivirus which comes with most of branded phones.

XPrivacy works well. Not AV, but allows you to deny/spoof app permissions; useful for basic apps which seem to want access to everything for no particular reason.

  • No.. never on my android phone
