The current registration hotness?

Was a long-time InternetBS.net customer.
Got seduced by a NameCheap deal. Not wild about them.
So now time to move somewhere else...back to IBS? NameSilo?

Uniregistry? Porkbun (really new)? Both offer .com at a bit more than $8.
Im currently moving most of my domains to porkbun. (whenever they are close to renewal at namecheap)
There is not much innovation in the domain registrars business. They don't come up with super cool features every year. The most you can say about registrar if it is problematic or not. Thus this is a case of "don't fix it if it's ain't broken". I hope, this answers your question.
Internet.bs raises .net prices from $11 to $12 from February. Seems like they are not the cheapest anymore by far. Well at least you still get free whois privacy.
I've been moving to namesilo
I've been with Namesilo for a while now, pretty happy with the service.
Happy with Namesilo. Moving my domains there from Namecheap as they near expiry.
Very happy with namesilo
Namesilo works wonders but you might want to give Porkbun a try; roughly equivalent feature-/pricewise, with commendable support - long story short, on my request they implemented a feature missing from their interface, to comply with some obscure RFC. Made my heart crumble :')
Happy with namesilo. Porkbun is slightly cheaper but some things about it bugged me so I haven't tried it.
I'm surprised nobody else has mentioned NameSilo yet..
NameSilo!
What does your planet have in place for sarcasm? Animated GIFs?
@busbr, I recommend NameSilo. Have you heard of it?
I don't know, probably reading comprehension?
Keep working on it. You'll find your way into space one of these centuries!
Just a detail but maybe an important one for some: Most of the mentioned registrars are us-american, which some (like myself) might consider a grave disadvantage or even a no-go (nsa, security letters, ...).
Otherwise namesilo certainly seems attractive.
As for gandi: Was there some years ago. My experience says "stay away!"
OK, GoDaddy it is.
Thanks, everyone!
Namesilo is cheap and good, but Crowncloud.net is cheaper with WHOIS Privacy.
wat
I will pay them a visit now...
GoDaddy is a terrible choice. Just my 2 cents.
I don't see anything about domain names at CrownCloud. Some nice VPS though, and I like the look and speed of their web site.
namesilo needs a responsive website. Shame that in 2017 they still have a website so shitty.
I'd say Porkbun. The interface is worth a lot more and looks extremely good in comparison to NameSilo's 15 year old website
Responsive as in ajax/jsony popups rather than a "click this button you idiot"? Pass.
Responsive as in adaptive website layout. Looking good and functional in any modern browser and device. Adapt to the screen size of the client device. No horizontal scrolling and no zooming needed etc.
Also those colors are pretty painful.
I like namesilo's website. It's one of the reasons I prefer namesilo to the other registrars whose sites are full of JS crap. Haven't tried porkbun but maybe I will sometime. Hover and gandi both have crap websites, namecheap somewhere in between iirc. Godaddy hurts my eyes without even trying to use it.
