It depends on your IT infrastructure. If you want to monitor only your websites availability, then go for uptimerobot. I am managing hundred of sites with this tool. Easy and straight to the point.
In case you require further monitoring, I could strongly recommend you to check this post about the main network tools for sysadmins. Here you can find nmap and ntopng. You can monitor servers and map your network elements. There is another software called The Dude you can double check as well.
In case you need a full network monitoring solution because you need to monitor your applications, server, networks, logs, RAM, and so on, then you should evaluate other type of network monitoring solutions: Solarwinds, Pandora FMS, Manage Engine are some examples. Zabbix and Zenoss can be worth to double check as well, although IMHO those goes after the aforementioned.
