The new E3's are here with a small frequency bump, but sadly, Intel did not name them as E3v4.
The new CPUs:

- E3-1275Lv3 http://ark.intel.com/products/76300/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E3-1275L-v3-8M-Cache-2_70-GHz
- E3-1271v3 http://ark.intel.com/products/80908/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E3-1271-v3-8M-Cache-3_60-GHz
- E3-1241v3 http://ark.intel.com/products/80909/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E3-1241-v3-8M-Cache-3_50-GHz
- E3-1240Lv3 http://ark.intel.com/products/80912/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E3-1240L-v3-8M-Cache-2_00-GHz
- E3-1231v3 http://ark.intel.com/products/80910/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E3-1231-v3-8M-Cache-3_40-GHz
- E3-1226v3 http://ark.intel.com/products/80917/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E3-1226-v3-8M-Cache-3_30-GHz
- ...and some more.
Dodgy names.

It doesn't seem to be any change except 0.1GHz clock frequency gain.
It's not really a new generation. Same technology, just a clock frequency bump from the prior v3 models.
Not much difference, what I'm waiting for are the new generation E5's in Q3, hopefully they will have DDR4 support by then..
