Looking for Dedi with relatively cheap DDoS protection

So after getting hit by a DDoS attack today which is probably going to happen again, but bigger, I'm looking at -possibly- having to move servers at the end of the month. I need something with close to these specs:
Dual L5520s
16-24GB of RAM
1TB+ HD
And the server needs to have good ping to the majority of the US with DDoS protection. My budget is $50-$60 (I can push it up to about 80), not sure how well this can/will work.
EDIT: or a DDoS protected host that I can use for GRE

How large of DDOS attacks are you looking to mitigate?
Are you looking for a solution to keep your servers online while being attacked or just a vendor who doesn't have an issue putting a null route in place when they do occur?

@lars did online.net have ddos protected too?
preferably keeping them online

To those recommending online.net: As I said, I need decent ping to the US, not EU
OVH is the only option within your budget. DDoS protection is expensive.
That would increase the ping to my server a bit too much, given that the server is in dallas.

Still looking.
Issue with GRE is if someone behind the GRE decides to ipban a user from a game server, there goes anyone's ability to connect to that server
Their ping to the lower half of the US is horrible though. (80ms is terribad when you hosting game servers)
Hi there, in this budget $50-$60 to get the ddos protection and 16GB RAM, not sure where you can find it.
yea this seems a little bit unrelistic
Versaweb in Vegas offers DDoS protection to their L5520 for an additional $30 per month. That's probably as close as you're going to get to your budget.
