OK, 4 step super minstall unattended guide:
reinstall you appliance, Debian 6 32-bit, change root password, log in with root
download and extract minstall like in the readme
cd ~; rm -rf minstall; mkdir minstall; cd minstall; wget --no-check-certificate -O minstall.tar.gz http://www.github.com/downloads/KnightSwarm/Minstall/Latest.tar.gz; tar zxvf minstall.tar.gz; rm minstall.tar.gz
using WinSCP, log in to your VPS and edit the config.ini in the minstall folder. Make the following changes:
modules=""
=>modules="install-extra-repositories,clean-packages,install-dropbear,install-extra-packages,configure-general,configure-ssh,configure-user,http-install-exim,http-install-mysql,http-install-nginx,http-install-php,http-install-php-extra,http-configure-mysql,http-configure-nginx"
bash_history=0
=>bash_history=1
timezone="Australia/Sydney"
=>timezone="Europe/London"
(or look up the specific name for your timezone)bash minstall.sh -u
sit back and relax!After reboot, now you can add users and hosts using the interactive manage commands.

Do you see
clean-package
in the above long line? That is the command what removes everything, what is not needed! You don't need to do anything.ah i see. so first clean-packages.sh then start ur 4 step super minstall unattended guide?
No, it's included in the guide!
woahh big picture. btw thank so much. i dont think to more qeustion. i 'll frist install my vps. See ya later.
Dramosith.
It says Xen PV is unsupported but I manage to make it work on my Xen PV.
mm my vps is 256mb. and running: 111 MB of 512 MB used / 401 MB free
@dramosith, congrats! Have you restarted? It's a bit too much! Can you paste a
ps v -e
?>
http://pastebin.com/H6UPU7w4 here
btw: it is now 96 MB of 512 MB used / 416 MB free when restarted
Seems allright! What is your memory usage in
htop
? It looks more like 50 MB than 110! Inhtop
press F6 and order by memory%. The most useful tool I found.!(http://i.imgur.com/OJIjW.jpg)

I think your installation is perfect, I have no idea why do you have 96 MB instead of around 35 MB, what you should have based on the sum of your processes. Let's wait for someone expert.
Update: can you untick 'hide kernel processes' in the htop options? F2 Setup, somewhere there.
okay thanks. then wait..
In the meantime can you post a screenshot with this?
you mean me?
Yes, with kernel processes included.
>
F2 -> Display options -> i saw [X] hide kernel processess to change [..] and F10(done) what now?
Just post a screenshot in a big screen

I used the instructions in the post from @zsero and have this running just fine on an 512 Xen PV
OK, @dramosith, I'm 100% sure your setup is working perfectly. I just wonder where did 60 MB of your RAM go, but to be honest it doesn't matter on a 512 MB box. If someone knows the solution, please tell us!
@connercg: Nice to hear it's working for you too!
i bought just 256MB ram / 512(burst)(OpenVZ) of buyVM NY
This is some example of htop in my current vps which is running my blog
Yes, it's the same as mine. 50 MB total. I really don't know where his memory disappeared. Maybe I should ask for a one-day test node from @Francisco?
It's unsupported as I haven't tested it much, good to see it works for you
check http://i.imgur.com/aH5HZ.jpg. why double mine mysql? you and @ErawanArifNugroho have 1 mysql
