I agree with you, I am using Hostbrr & Namecrane too, Namecrane is the best in all ways but Hostbrr has very slow support but Hostbrr hardware is solid. .

For almost same pricing (or even less), I would go with @labze (Hostbrr) or Namecrane @Francisco which are right now my favorite . Earlier used Hawkhost/Crockweb (WHT popular) in same budget.

i createt a vault from my home pc an the drive, lets say Z: that is mounted via mountain duck an the hostbrr storage. that works.

In this mode you don't get to mount it as root (because Hostbrr ftp doesn't allow root anyway) hence some docker containers might not run properly on the mounted drive.
