FYI both Stripe and PayPal aren't setting up proper merchant accounts for your businesses, hence why they will close your account at the drop of a hat and offer no support. Find a good First Data ISO

Well 3D secure is to protect you as a merchant. You don't need to implement it with Pro but then you are on the first line for charge backs.

I got similar years ago. They wanted me to use a separate merchant account so they had no liability and charge 99/month for the management and API.

Maybe don't tell them your doing VPS per se? I got accepted for my merchant account here maybe two weeks ago.. Though to be fair, we don't deal with only VPS's.

Their fees are extremely unreasonable, compared to other solutions. Over double what we'd be paying using a merchant and gateway approach.

You need a merchant account with PSC and they pay out by Bank transfer - With a nice 15-20% fee for them.
