It seems like there is consensus that Hetzner DDOS protection is trash. But is this based on recent experiences or just something that has stuck from the past?

Anywho. I clearly favor Hetzner. OVH pricing just doesn't seem competitive anymore. You almost pay double for a Ryzen 5000 series system with 32GB ram than you do for a Hetzner AX52. If you need DDOS

Be warned though, as the price and CPU name suggests, it's an incredibly slow server that's useless beyond storing files and hosting simple websites. The only thing it has going for it is it's a dedic

Their DDOS might be among the best but that's not helpful when a single residential gigabit user can eat your machine's entire pipe. I don't even know what use cases would thrive with a 100 or 250 mbp
