Looking for a VPS for personal use.

Try running mtr from both your home and the vps on the ones that are working well, and then on the racknerd vps, and compare them. It's probably just different routing.

Yep, here too. Turned the VPS on, and within 3 hours got 2 incidents already. Will turn it off again, it's a shitshow.

The new vps-1 is just an vps-0.5 in the sense of the 2025 lineup (which did not have a vps-0.5). By that, vps-1 (2025) became vps-2 (2027) - this one therefor with local zones as well, vps-2 became vp

p.s.: I plan to migrate a non-profit service that has been running since 2022 from Cloudflare Workers to a VPS. Faced with the $25/year Cloudflare subscription fee, a VPS might be a better choice.

Tornado VPS is effectively single homed to HE.net in a Bay Area datacenter. I don't know if they're in Hurricane Electric's datacenter specifically, but you can ask them.
